A little bit about me:

I grew up with the strongest and most caring mother. My father figures forced me to grow up before I was ready to. Coming from a home filled with emotional abuse and financial struggles left a lasting impression on my life. I know so many others have grown up the same way, or worse. Many of my clients can relate to the same struggles. But the best part is this: Parenthood. I get to give my kids the childhood I always wanted. I get to spoil the crap out of them, give them experiences, break the cycle. I love photographing families for this reason. Seeing all the happy memories and shared moments, the love, the closeness.

I now live in Pekin, Illinois with my husband(Alan), two kids (Eli&Sarah), two cats(Mini&Scruffles), and the sweetest lab pit mix (Lady) you’ll ever meet in your life. I love spending time with my family and friends. I’m constantly in my hammock. Suns out buns out. We love swimming, hiking, going to the park, late night runs for ice cream, taco night, family games, jumping on the trampoline, having competitive capri sun chugging contests, and scaring the crap out of each other.

My grandma first kindled my love for photography, constantly sending us photos from her home in the mountains. I bought my first camera off a friend and started shooting immediately. I went to the Art Institute to receive my Associates degree in photography and graduated in 2014. I have learned so much since then and continue to learn through online classes and courses.

If there is anything else you want to know, please don’t hesitate to reach out! I can’t wait to meet you!

XOXO,
Courtney <3
